actually it depends on the situation, if the break up was for our own good or for some good reason we needed to end things(healthy break-up)then that's the time we need closure for us to cut the part of "what if?" or even questioning ourselves, it's for us to have that peace of mind that there's nothing wrong with you it's just that the situation/some circumstances won't allow it. But if it's a toxic break up then why would you need a closure? his silence and effort is already his answer then the closure you needed is acceptance.
