@letsbetechs: Proof I have not seen it all. No heat, gas package RTU. We get into a few little things with this one. Hopefully the wiring diagram portion helps some of you that want to improve with wiring diagrams. But yeah, I am piecing together the clues to try and determine how this happened the way it did. If others have seen this, please weigh in, if you haven't seen in, weigh in your thoughts anyway! I brought the combustion analyzer up on the roof to make absolutely certain no compromised heat exchanger only to find it's battery was completely dead, or the analyzer itself is dead (hope not). May return if it charges. #hvac #hvacapprentice #hvactechnician #hvaclife
My best guess, it rolled out really bad because of that inducer motor going bad and just happened to burn some stink bugs stuck to some stuff and actually caught flame on some things like the zip ties and wire to the pressure switch 🤔

saw this problem too. replaced the induced and burnt wires. and it happened again. i believe lennox is phasing out of that wiring. when you replace the inducer it comes with a new transformer from 460v to 215v and you have rewire it.

Your problem was a combination between the inducer motor going bad and the door seal on the return air. It was causing a negative pressure in the burner compartment caused the flames to come out looking for air in that area where the seal was.

I ran into a similar situation the other day. Wires to the pressure switch and rollout switch were all burnt up and it melted the rollout closed and somehow melted the hole on the pressure switch to where it was sealed but somehow didnt melt the rubber tube on the pressure switch. Heat exchanger looked perfect. Flame looked perfect. Very strange.

The zip tie caught on fire. Happened to be home to Jake the stink bug. Jake was drunk. The burning he was feeling made him think it was the Taco Bell he head for
