It has nothing to do with money; they don't work because the voltage regulation in the USA is different from almost every other country haha :)

I my husband bought me a Dyson when we worked in the USA and when we went back home (South Africa) after our contracts, my Dyson did not work here. I had to buy a step down inverter with USA outlets in order for it to work here🫢
