I've never liked my hair (apparently its called Irish hair) and have blow dried, used extensions and straightened it my whole life. I've absolutely destroyed it over the years, and after going through menopause it's even more difficult to control. A couple of weeks ago I started using affirmations while washing and putting products on my hair, and for the first time in my life I'm letting it dry naturally instead of straightening it, because I want to learn to love my natural hair. Last week while out grocery shopping, a lovely lady stopped me and said, "I LOVE your hair!", and 15 minutes later another lady said the same thing. Nobody has ever said that to me in my 63 years on this planet 😄 It put a little spring in my step for the rest of the day ☺️
