I have clients do this a lot. It does help. I ask them to make request that’ll be a no, or spill something in public (clean it up obviously). Just to get use to that feeling of rejection and embarrassment.

All the people commenting this is rude to the server, as a former server, I would love this. I think it’s funny and the server can literally say no if she wants. If someone asked me this I would genuinely do what I can to make it free because it’s funny that she asked🤣

You do you, but I personally would try to imagine a better way to practice this than to go into a business whose entire purpose is to make money off of a set menu with set prices and ask for free stuff. Why not try negotiating at a flea market or something? I don’t know, I personally just think it’s weird. I would never walk into a restaurant, place an order, and then ask to not pay. It screams of “that’s not how any of this works.”
