The burnt smell is likely just the product build up on the tool. Just clean it w some rubbing alcohol!

Usually the burning hair smell is related to the heat protect not protecting. But those curls turned out so so pretty!!! 🥰

Just in case it’s helpful!! An aerosol heat protectant is the way to go before a hot tool. The spray kind is recommended before blow-drying unless you let it dry in your hair completely before using a hot tool. Something I learned here on TikTok!! ✨
