It’s not just about china, it’s about Russia who could take Greenland by force to post their military presence and then China would benefit. The Europe or UN will not be able to offer the support or protection they are expected to provide, therefore leaving the US vulnerable- I bet Europe will capitulate to help attack the US…..

In the end it’s all about money. As the arctic ice melts, new, faster trade routes that doesn’t involve the Panama or Suez Canal are opening up. Whoever controls Greenland controls that route. And force them to trade in dollars and you further cement the dollar as the reserve currency of the world. It’s always about the money.

US wants Greenland for vast mineral reserves for military applications and electronics/ev components. China control mineral market. Due to climate change, new shipping routes will open up and US wants to take control.
