Golf MK4, we have the following engine 1.4,1.6 petrol and 1,6SD diesel engine ,1.8GTI, 1.9TDI as well 1.9SD diesel engine and 2.0 petrol. As the 2.3 V5 engine also 2.8 v6 4 motion and lastly the king R32. All those are found in the mk4 golf, jetta and bora. But the 1.6SD and 1.9SD diesel are not in Namibia 🇳🇦 , I just saw them in the UK 🇬🇧

Had a mk4 GTI... It wasn't a nightmare to own. I'd say it depends on how well you or the prevoius owners took care of the car. I bought mine modified for that matter😂 Those 1.8T's are solid engines and can last almost as long as the 1.9TDI's with careful maintainance - mine had 310000km

Idk bro, I've got a mk4 gti with the 1.8t agu that's been remapped and with 280k km on the clock, and over the two years I've had no reliability issues, just replaced 4 sensors.

I own a MK4 1.6sr AKL engine petrol manual. Engine still in mint condition and good speed. As old generation they just need proper maintenance.
