My childs Ophthalmologist said it was possible to get cataract surgery to actually fix someones eyes. He said he had a very autistic patient with -12 myopia, that refused to wear glasses and was violent. So he offered to help the mom by saying the child had cataracts in both eyes “wink wink”, and he ended up putting the correct lenses in his eyes so he didn’t need glasses anymore. Is this truly possible? I have -8, and he said i should hope to get cataracts someday. Is this the same as lasik eye surgery? Does it come with the same possible side effects?

I had cataract surgery at 16 and 20 and it wasn't exactly like this but it was like a span of 3 days and I couldn't read my texts on my phone! I could after surgery though with glasses lol

I have cataracts, first surgery next week and my vision is nothing like this. I have multiple ghosting and none of the hazy smear vision in this clip. Maybe it depends on the type of cataract.
