I like the canon more from a designer perspective. she fits more in theme with her species which shows she is equal with them. not only that but the fanon is too similar to princess celestia which kids can definitely confuse for. she is also her own person, not celestia. also copyright is a huge issue, the game is unable to make the fanon as canon due to the artist owning the copyright of the design. they would need to reach out to the artist, pay the artist, and also most likely get permission from Hasbro to do all that in the first place. knowing how Hasbro is, they will never agree to it.
