The reality is in the 1990s the mentality from a tragedy was the show must go on out of respect for the person, and they would’ve wanted us to push through. We’ve evolved as a society, but you can’t hold the past to today’s standards.

If i died at work and my coworkers stopped working i would be pissed. Just because i am gone it doesn't mean we don't honor our commitments

I believe what happened that night with Owen Hart was a tragedy and the fact that Vince decided to go on with the show was absolutely a horrible idea should have stopped it right then and there but he didn't want to give refunds That's what it all came down to his money I don't believe Eric Bischoff would have done that

The decision was likely made solely on money. The event ending abruptly would have forced a refund of the PPV money and possibly live attendance ticket refunds, which would have been a major financial hit.. Ultimately, I would’ve taken the hit. The damage this did to WWF’s reputation at this time as long reaching consequences. I really believe WWF loss some lifelong fans after this tragedy and it’s mishandling.
