I don't belive it's the gearbox I think either the belts are slipping or the friction plate needs to be replaced. not a hard fix.

Have you tried starting it and then pulling the auger engage handle? I have a similar style one and if it’s not running it won’t throw anything

It's not a belt shut it off and stop, making it worse.You sheared the pins off , obviously to the auger because I can see the arm spinning and the auger's not

Those toros don’t have shear pins. It’s the gear box issue
