A 20-year-old Taco Bell employee, D’Mari Jy’Quan Patterson, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm after allegedly firing a gun at three customers during an altercation at a restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida. According to court documents, the incident began when two customers requested a water cup but allegedly filled it with soda, sparking a verbal dispute. Witness footage reportedly captured Patterson yelling, “Do something!” as tensions escalated. Authorities say another employee attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Patterson allegedly struck one of the victims and discharged a firearm inside the restaurant. As the customers attempted to leave, Patterson reportedly followed them outside and fired another shot that narrowly missed one individual and shattered a window. The three customers later drove themselves to a nearby hospital, where two were treated for minor injuries. Patterson told police he acted in self-defense, claiming the customers rushed him and his coworker. However, investigators say evidence does not support that claim and instead shows Patterson escalated the confrontation and intentionally fired the weapon. He was arrested on April 27 and remains in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 27 as the investigation continues.#fyp #viral
