When my family went on a carnival cruise we brought walkie talkies and used those instead of texting or the chat, it was so much easier and they worked pretty much around the whole ship

In regards to the photo part, safeguarding springs to mind here. There could be people or children who are in protection. So yes that definitely needs to change.

I was constantly picking up my child on Carnival from kids club - they were always closing early. On RC they never did that and they took them to the buffet for dinner if you wanted them to.

I was on the same cruise! Agree that the App was clunky. Hubby and I both have androids and we kept having to reconnect. I did get notifications for the activities I hearted though. Also agree it was a little boring at times and the trivia themes were weird. By the way, the sport trivia questions were the same on both days, so hubby won it twice 🤣 (we gave the Ship On A Stick away). I thought they could have had more theme nights and activities.
