I'm a supervisor and my staff know they can come ask me for help at any time. I assist with the hoyers when they have no help. because I am so available for my staff I am working nearly nonstop. I took the position and I fulfill being a leader 100%. but I also get paid because once they saw how hard I work and that the staff rely on me the administrator offered me more pay than my upper management. that's how messed up our system is. they will pay you well if they see you have mad work ethics.

Here in Mn it is still 2. If some facilities are utilizing 3 it should be a nurse, supervisor, or administrator. That is because that is really all the 3rd person would be doing is watching,

AFH only has 1 cna working the floor taking care of 6 residents. I had a resident that used a hoyer and we had the states ok.

That’s right even when they require 2 I don’t go to another hall to look for another aid either the nurse can help. Or the patient can wait. I tell them sorry your a 2 person transfer the other aid given a shower or on break. But when I get help I can transfer you. The don came up to me day and said a pt complained you had her wait 45 before putting her in bed. I said and I did she a hoyer and the other aid was on break. I’m not that aid 2 person transfer I will not for by myself

If administration need the patient up so badly they can help with the lifts otherwise no go. I would leave my patients dressed and in the bed till I got help.
