Well anytime you have an accident even if you are @fault or not your insurance will go up. You loose a no accident discount plus a surcharge. And that will happen at any insurance company you are with. Accidents & tickets stay in your record for 3 years. DUI stay in you record for 5yrs. If you happen to get a ticket, call the people on your ticket & ask what can you do so it won’t go to your record and they will ask to take defensive driving class. You still pay for the ticket but not full price when you take the class but it won’t go to your record. You can take defensive driving once every 12months. If you happen to get another ticket within the 12months after you took your 1st defensive driving once, ask court before paying that ticket, since you already took defensive driving, your next option is put you on probation for eight 3-6 months, if you don’t get stop within 3-6months the ticket will be dismissed
