100%. We run on routines in our house and we don’t mess with their sleep schedule. If it’s something that can’t fit within those awake windows, we don’t go. We always regret saying yes to things that throw off the routine lol our kids are so much happier and calmer within their routine.

TT knew i needed this today!!!! 😍😭We were invited to a family bday party (1.5 hours from home) on a Sunday. My husband isn’t home during the weekdays at all, so Sunday is my reset day. I meal prep, clean, and plan for the week, HARD. Just wasn’t feasible with 2 littles and disrupting the weekend flow way more than i could mentally/physically handle. Thank you for sharing. I’m not alone❤️I was confident and proud of my decision to begin with, but way more now.

My family knows I do things either before or after naptime. I’m looser with bedtimes, but naps are nonnegotiable.

Yes! I feel this way too. It’ll eventually get easier for us as the kids get older but as for now, while they’re young, it’s HARD to do things so no will be said a lot.

I am absolutely not ruining the entire week for my kid and myself because someone wants us to attend something at 6pm. It’s a hard but polite no 😂

This is how I raised my kids, I am 49 now and it’s the best thing to do! Routine is a peaceful way of living and it’s so good for your children❤ you’re doing great!

I have been saying this for 6 1/2 years now lol ITS OK TO SAY NO they need to hear no. Also, you don’t have to explain why to them every time no is no.

Coming from someone who isn’t a people pleaser but my husband is, 1000% saying no is okay!! Your peace and sanity is far more important right now than pleasing someone else or going along with the worldly norm! That’s what I have to remind my husband from time to time ☺️

Thank you for sharing this! Such an important message for mothers and women. Much much love from a former people pleaser. At 42 I finally have stepped into myself. ❤️🔥
