@malloryjpage: I truly am so grateful for this time in my life. It feels like it solidified my own recovered life even more and the way that I teach things. It shows gaining weight doesn’t have to be negative for your health, your body image, or your life. We are meant to shift, change, and evolve and our body is on their journey with us. #bodyimage #dietitian
The hard truth is, absolute recovery (from restrictive eds) will equal a bigger body. That’s what makes long term recovery so elusive. I’ve been back & forth for 20 years. I wish people talked about this more. I actually try not follow recovery accounts on here for that very reason- it feels inauthentic & even triggering.

Thank you for this important and excellent post!! 🙏 Intuitive Eating never proposes a certain goal weight, it espouses a flexible relationship with bodies that naturally change.

been recovered from bulimia for 15 years. I have gained approx 80lbs. It is scary and strange. I am also quite a lot older. but I will live in this body any day over living the life I had then.

ED Recovery with Tay :
Completely agree. I am 10+ years recovered and I have changed sooo much over the last 10 years. Some impacted my body image, but the way I look at weight gain now is completely different than in my active ED

I’m really struggling as someone almost in their 40s as my body is starting to change regardless of being in recovery..and it is TOUGH
