With some reflection, it feels like an obvious choice - the game understands human nature more than most and knows that we don’t always tell ourselves the objective truth. So why should Harry’s thoughts? Why shouldn’t Inland Emprie tell him there’s nothin worth finding in the dumpster to save him from dealing with the pain of remembering his old love? Why shouldn’t suggestion lie to Harry about still having a chance with Dora in the dream sequence so he doesn’t have to deal with the hurtful truth that he doesn’t. I love how some even fail even if the roll was a success, for example, in dream in the bunker, Pain Threshold says "Please no more questions" and Volition replies "More questions, ask more" even if it says it was a success, it feels like even volition failed to protect you at that point

i love how even the "best" skills, related to knowledge and intelligence, can sometimes lie or not be correct. As well as the "worst" skills, related to addiction and brute force, can give you insight of things you've never thought about. It's not the correct choice, but rather how Harry actually thinks

Keep in mind, even if you put all of your points in a skill, it STILL lies to you. volition, for example, is entirely wrong about Klaasije. And with high enough points, volition tries to make you do things simply because you can, and not because they would be good for you.
