I typically request male artist myself, no disrespect to the ladies they do amazing work but some tattoos can get a bit to close and personal and it feels disrespectful to my wife if that makes sense

As a female I prefer a female tattoo artist because they have more attention to detail, they’re more gentle and the ink looks better when it heals. I got tattoos from male artists and it just doesn’t look as good, they go too deep 🤣 sorry not sorry lol

as a female I only go to female artists anymore because ive been hit on by way too many male tattoo artists while I'm in the chair, but imo if a dude comes in asking for a female thats a major red flag. good skit.

The only time I would ask for a female artist is if I’m at a tattoo shop I’ve never been too and I don’t feel comfortable getting tattooed by a male I don’t know due to trauma, so I would feel comfortable with a female I don’t know tattooing, but if it’s the usual shop I go to, I don’t sweat it, any artist that is free can tattoo me
