we thought my kids that we purge before our birthday and Christmas and we make it fun they get to decide and during Christmas we tell them Santa will come pick them up to give them to other kids to love

We have minimal toys but a TON of books. Currently five rotations of 20, and when they’re not out in rotation, they’re sorted into 1) baby-friendly/indestructable (board and cloth books,) 2) rhythm and routine, and 3) special/independent (seasonal, keepsakes, longer chapter books.) I’ve taken pictures of each cover and made a digital library for my husband and I so we don’t have to remember the title or name of the author to recall the book our son wants/likes.
