As someone who always knew she wanted kids and can’t seem to wrap my head around not wanting kids I still understand that it’s not my life and not my business. If someone I dated said they didn’t want kids I didn’t date them anymore 🤷🏻♀️I don’t understand why people are convinced that it’s okay to try and change what someone else wants/doesn’t want.

If one person really wants kids and the other really doesn’t. It most likely doesn’t work. There’s not really anywhere to meet in the middle and having a child or not having is an extreme either way.

This was a great, albeit sad but great outcome. They did everything that could have been done. Effective communicated. Went to therapy together and individually. And in the end, was very honest with each other. I wish them both the best. And I hope she’s able to still spend time with her bonus boys. They’ve already lost a mom.

My hubby and I are child free and will remain so forever. I was very clear to him when we first got together and two years later he drove me to my appointment to get my tubes taken out to ensure that I can't get pregnant and it's the best decision for us to this day 4 years later. 🥰

I 1000% get this from her side. I was with my ex for 7 years i had kids but he didnt want any. he was happy to accept mine. we didnt separate because of rhe child issue completely different reasons

I admire the strength of her conviction. I wish that at adulthood, more of us regardless of gender, had such a clear sense of who we are, what we want in life and is willing to stick to our guns in service of our peace / happiness.

Yeah I completely understand He’s part of the side because I feel that way. I cant imagine a life without children and it is deep in our biology that have someone be outright against children. I have to question what is it deep down that they are having a problem with because I can’t imagine so I understand where he’s coming from. The only time that I’ve ever really understood someone saying like that was a friend of mine when I was encouraging her to have kids but then I realised it’s not that she doesn’t doesn’t want them. It’s the fact that she actually is worried about passing some of her bipolar schizophrenia thing that she has. I didn’t even know she had that but anyway then I completely understood her because I wouldn’t want to have kids either if I had something wrong with me and that could be passed on to my children I would just try to be the best auntie or something to everyone else’s she’s lovely. I’ve never ever seen her like that though so it’s hard to believe that she has that but if that’s what she has she’s told me of course I believe her. I’ve just never seen her with that side. Probably a good thing.
