This is why knowing history is important. This is nothing new. Many WW during slavery were extremely cruel to BW because they were jealous that their husbands were having their way with BW. And to this day in lieu of WW & BW joining forces there remains a great deal of jealousy, cattiness and animosity.

I think we’ve been taught that white women are the standard. Even if they aren’t a preference you rarely hear men say they would not date them whereas it’s the opposite for black women. I think this creates the mindset that them being the standard automatically puts them above you so they are shocked when a man they want shows you attn instead. I’ve dated and am dating a white man and I’ve never gotten more grief/microaggressions than from their white exes who btw never said a word to any of the white girls those men may have dated after them
