Thank you for 5 years of adventures w/ @Super, Natural BC I started the “Do you want to come on an adventure with me?” series during lockdown after I was laid off from work. I never thought it would go further than that first video, but the comments were filled with people saying it was nice to take a “break” from being stuck at home, or that they hadn’t been able to experience the outdoors because of accessibility reasons. In a time of so much uncertainty, being able to make someone’s day even slightly better by showing a waterfall or a walk through the forest felt like the very least I could do. I’ve always wanted my videos to feel like your attention is valuable, because it is. So when people ask why I set up my camera for long shots only to use a few seconds of footage, it’s because you deserve it. You deserve to feel like that little dot hiking up a mountain is you. You deserve to experience the grandness of the world we live in. These videos aren’t intended to inspire you to go outside, though I love that they do, but rather to share our natural world with those who might not be able to experience it in the same way I do. My body is able, I live in one of the most beautiful, safe, and accessible outdoor spaces in the world, and it has been an honour to share my experiences with you. I’ll be forever grateful to all of you who have joined me on this wild adventure. You’ve changed my life. With love, Ben #DestinationCanadaPartner #explorebc #explorecanada
