Jeremy Jackson is the one speaking in this video @WTAE-TV Pittsburgh We also had Jeremy Jackson at the meeting. He was there to question the board about the status of two K-9 officers who had seemingly disappeared from public view. The community had heard nothing about them since October. I cannot tell you exactly why they were terminated, but I can tell you that many in this community believe it was a wrongful termination. I also want to address something that gets brought up often. Many of the issues I speak about may not appear on an agenda, but public safety concerns do not require permission or a reserved slot on a piece of paper before citizens are allowed to discuss them. When public trust, transparency, and accountability are at stake, those conversations belong in the public square. What makes this situation particularly troubling is that Jeremy Jackson specifically asked about these officers during the meeting. Yet when the board moved to terminate them, they did not even have the decency to publicly acknowledge the men by name. After decades of service protecting this community, they were reduced to employee numbers on an agenda. Not officers. Not human beings. Not members of this community. Numbers. Whether you agree with the decision or not, the people of this township deserved transparency, and those officers deserved the dignity of having their names spoken aloud. Instead, they were treated as little more than administrative entries on a page—discarded when they became inconvenient. #NorthHuntingdon #WestmorelandCounty #JeremyJackson #Transparency #PublicAccountability
