Apparently hit dogs do holler. It is repeatedly explained that it’s manipulation when the intention IS to manipulate. It’s bad when over justification is MEANT to confuse you, INTENDED to overwhelm you, PURPOSEFULLY exhausting. Intention! However everyone in the comments is like “I over justify due to trauma”, “I over justify because I have ADHD” then this isn’t about you.

I mean it's pretty easy, you just stop them from talking and repeat your original question. If they over explain you respond "No, stop. That's not what I asked. I asked (example) and I'm not asking for an entire essay." You are searching for one short simple answer, so make that clear.

just because its a trauma response doesn't mean its healthy or good for others. sometimes your trauma turns you into Not the Best Version of Yourself. thats part of the reason trauma is so bad. not to mention if youre not doing this intentionally to manipulate someone, then it isnt conscious manipulation. doesnt mean you shouldnt get help for that trauma response.
