Most debt recycling scenarios seem to start with the person having a considerable amount upfront already.
If someone is currently DCA investing say $200 a week, you're looking at about a year to save 10k. It's prob not worth doing an equity release for anything less than 10k or maybe 20k.
So is it still worth missing out on a year or two in the market for the tax deduction?

Hello, newbie here 👋 I am more confused then 5 mins ago before you popped onto my fyp 🤣 Im not following how they reduced mortage repayments by 13k if they put the 200k in the mortgage and then withdrew it straight back out? Wouldnt they both still have the same balance then?

Hi i have a qs- can you use money that has compounded from investment in shares (without cashing it out) and use it as a deposit for a house in Aus?

What about if your partner is not earning money and you're in the top tax bracket. Is there any benefit that can be used where the partner hasn't exhausted the tax free threshold. Assuming both are on the home loan?
