My snow blower is only 15 years older, highly used in Vermont, never had any issues on shifting gears. Waist of time and risk to getting in trouble doing this.

Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't that square rod throw the grease onto the friction disc that's suppose to be very clean? Both are moving parts.

Bad hack. Too much grease on clutch shaft. When he puts it into 6th gear, grease will fly onto friction disk. Putting grease on outside of sprocket and chain is useless
