@hopeor_not: Detachment 2011 is a film I would recommend to anyone who feels emotionally exhausted or disconnected from the world It is not a movie you watch for entertainment but one you experience slowly and heavily The story follows Henry a substitute teacher who moves between broken schools and broken people without forming attachments What makes the film powerful is how honest and uncomfortable it feels It does not try to give easy solutions or hope in a simple form Instead it speaks to you quietly about loneliness burnout and emotional numbness As you watch you may feel that the film is describing thoughts you never said out loud I see this movie as a mirror and a warning at the same time It shows how caring too much can hurt and how caring too little can destroy you It advises the viewer to reflect on their emotional limits and the cost of isolation The film also reminds you that everyone carries invisible pain and that small moments of empathy matter even if they do not fix everything I would suggest this film to someone who wants to understand themselves better and accept that feeling lost does not make you weak it makes you human #fyp #foryou #detachment #letterboxd #thesmiths
