@acmusociety: progress was made on the next stage of the interactive electric displays project. Here are the first powered tests of a freshly overhauled GEC G315BZ DC Traction Motor, fitted to Class 317s which has been donated to the East Anglian Railway Museum and will eventually be on public display in the future. The motor without load is drawing 30Amps at 10 Volts - about 300 Watts of power. Recreating the Iconic MK3 EMU sound now almost lost from today's railways. Turn the volume up!
