@kaylaforster_: My 10 month old woke up 7 times between 11pm - 6am. We started our day at 6.15am. A recipe for a tired mama who struggles to keep up with the demands of a) very attached toddler & b) baby that refuses to be out of arms. The first thing I did when I found my feet in the kitchen - make playdough. The second - find an old egg carton in the recycling bin. The third - stick a printed cutout from @tinywildfolk to the lid. And the fourth? Send Miss (almost) 4 into the backyard for a garden hunt. When we returned inside, an invitation to play was set up. Wooden slabs for 'pizza' making. Empty cases for 'cupcake' decorating, and leftover playdough to let her imagination run wild. This play lasted hours. Small distractions? Yes. Redirection? Yes? Mama involvement? Occasionally. Keeping your little one excited about their day, curious & seeking joy in the everyday is made so easy with @tinywildfolk learning guides - a staple for every household whether you just need a moment to sip that coffee hot, or to help your little one grow🪴 #motherhood #childhood #homeschooling #kidsactivities #toddleractivity
Kids are always happy in nature. When my children were young and we didn’t have a lot of money, I would fill buckets full of water and bring anything for the kitchen they could use to play in it. It would keep them amused for such a long time and I could sit and have a cuppa while I watched them play.
