@heydrrob: Do your knees hurt every time you squat? Squatting isn’t the problem. How you’re squatting is. Most knee pain during squats comes from poor knee positioning. When you squat, your knees should track in a straight line over your 4th and 5th toe. What I usually see is the knee collapsing inward toward the big toe, and that’s where the pain starts. Here’s the quick fix. Place a band around the lower part of your calves. Before you descend, drive your big toe into the ground and actively push your knees out so they track over your pinky toe. Keep that outward pressure as you lower down, and exaggerate it again on the way up. This engages your glutes, cleans up your squat mechanics, and takes stress off the knees. Remember, squatting isn’t the issue. Poor movement is. #kneepain #kneeinjury #squatting
