@davejorgenson: This 1943 U.S. Army film warned about fascism in America

LarnJo :

This needs to be a superbowl commercial!

Gamercents :

80 years. We've had 80 years and we've easily forgotten everything.

Clark W Griswold :

💙

jade_valentine_voss :

history may not repeat itself exactly but it sure does rhyme

Michael Moeller | Kentucky :

This is very well done. Thank you

Claire :

When they refer to “antifa” with disgust, I think about my grandfather who fought in WW2 to ensure fascism never prevailed. I’m so so concerned, the safeguards we had in place are proving to be ineffective.

Deerdruhduh :

“So they decided to abolish truth”

NicholeWillhightRing :

Just another example of how far backwards we’ve gone.

Izzetrix :

You know, I'm kinda happy that you didn't write for that company anymore. This is good work

PCMRJP :

ah yes... 107%... didnt know america had more jobs than america has...

Lili Marlene :

It repeats. And just like last time, nothing is being done.

Timothy Hatcher :

This juxtaposition cut needs aired non-stop until something changes.

Jennw30 :

I'm sure teachers would be fired for showing that version or the original

Kylie McCarthy :

Thanks, Dave. It’s just so scary that everyone didn’t have the same takeaway from history class.

Carrie Drake :

😔😔im scared genuinely scared

aetos9 :

I love all your videos but (and) this one is really really really really powerful. Thank for it.

bobbyhilltx :

Dave this video was so, so good. You’re so good at this. Thank you.

Jeffrey Sutherland :

107% 🤔

CallMeBartleby :

I saw that film years ago and had been looking for it ever since! The part when the guy says, “Hey, that fella’s talking about me!” is exactly what people need to realize. No one is safe under these regimes.

IamTheOneWhoKnocks :

He just can’t get these percentages down, can he? How are they taking every single job plus an extra 7% of jobs that don’t exist?

Guillaume Aime 🥗🎥🧑‍🌾👨‍🍳 :

107%?!

solongandgn :

this is excellent. too bad the algo will suppresss...

🆘️Danielle Melotte 🇺🇸🔥🗑 :

Just saw the Twilight Zone episode that's about this. S4E4 He's Alive. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Richmond Ghost :

unfortunately the film leaves out that they went after socialists, social Democrats and trade unionists first
