This is the result of the Turkish Invasion, Occupation since 1974. 250000 Greek Cypriot Refugees still looking to return to their homes. Imagine if they force you to leave everything, home and belongings. How would you feel?

This hits you so differently when you visit it. As a Cypriot who wasn’t directly affected, visiting Varosha was both deeply moving and upsetting. It’s disrespectful how the defecto authorities in the occupied north have turned it into a tourist destination

Have you heard the siren at 5am, that marks the anniversary in July? It's very eerie! In 2024 some young lads came out onto their balcony, panick stricken faces, wondering what the hell was going on. It was really quite funny lol
