@paws.andreflect: The “pictures” I teach Scout for cues and commands can include her energy level, too! I think separating “place” and “lava” out as two separate things helped avoid confusion and make it easier for her to settle, consistently, when we brought out her travel mat or dog bed. Do you use the same verbal cue / hand signal for each? Or do you separate them, too? (Or do you even have a place command in the first place? We rarely use ours anymore, but I’m still very thankful we taught it.)
