most of us don't brush like this; we use toothbrushes and miswak from time to time, especially in ramadan, as it gives off a smell, and has antibacterial properties. It's great as a complement, but it does not replace brushing your teeth for most of us.

My husband teeth turned brown after a procedure.. no matter how much or how hard he brushed, they remained brown.. then he turned to miswak.. in his mouth day and night.. his teeth are white again in few days ma sha Allah..
