@rc_1309: Do you think this was a good feature on the DC-15a blaster in Star Wars? #starwars #starwarstiktok #starwarsfyp #starwarsclonewars #clonewars
The dc-15a is the rifle. And the carbine is the dc-15s

You forgot to mention it’s got a full automatic fire mode. During Revenge of the Sith we see a 212th trooper jump on top of a crab droid and use the feature. We like never see it anywhere else but it definitely is the carbine.

DC-15s is the small carbine, DC-15A is the long rifle.

OKAY, I am gonna be mr. technical over here real quick...cause I always thought the long riffle was the dc15 while the short riffle was the dc15a, but many people have told me that the long riffle is the dc15a while the short riffle is the dc15s. can some please explain what the factual information is?

lufba927 :
The DC-15A was designed to be a prototype of the E-11 blaster used by Storm Troopers. The E-11 was built off an old Sterling Mk.4 sub machine gun from WW2. That gun featured a folding stock

Is there a clearer photo of it with the stock extended anywhere?

Or the other reason we didn’t see it a lot is a low budget for this show for the first seasons

In my mind the DC-15A will always be the rifle and the DC-15S will always be the carbine

It’s there because it, as well as most of the more common blaster carbines in Star Wars, is based on the Sterling Machine Carbine, a British SMG from the 50’s. In fact, most of the blasters in Star Wars, especially the live action ones, are real blank-firing weapons that have been cut up or greebled
