@pinupjordan: Oh someone said 2016?! Because let me tell you, that was one of my favorite years doing hair 🤩 At that time, I had just opened up Pinup Jordan’s Mermaid Lounge, Dyson blow dryers were all the rage, creative color was so niche that my entire client list was nothing but mermaids, and I cranked out over 200 vivid clients that year with no assistant. 🫩 Ah, to be young again 😂❤️ I was SO inspired, childless with a ton of free time, and lived next door to my salon, so I was hugely inspired and working 14 hour days for fun. 😳 I have since prioritized a more balanced lifestyle, but this was the beginning of @TheRainbowConvention without me really knowing it at the time. Wanting more diverse education that considered different learning styles, finding likeminded friendships from other stylists in the industry, and healthy competition that was inspiring and not discouraging. 2016 walked so we could run circles around 2026 🙂‍↔️ So I don’t just know ball, I helped write the game back then, bestie. 😌❤️🏀 We can’t wait to see your entries at TRC Awards this year, and we’ve got some new categories that might help inspire our natural colorists and MUAs!
