@leavingtracks: Hope some people find this helpful. I get a lot of people asking how the hell I fit this much gear into a 40L backpack + the best way to distribute the weight across your back. Just a note, this was the last day but all my food usually sits near the top shoved in any available space. The best tips for packing in winter: 1. Always put your sleeping bag in a dry bag 2. Put your tent near the top. In bad weather, you don’t want to be pulling everything out of your bag just to get to your tent 3.
