I think she meant that you can think you’re prepared and ready all you want but once your baby is already here, things will happen that you think you can’t handle and you will have to just do it because it’s no longer about you. That’s why it took me until 24 and 5 years of marriage to even begin to think about committing to a child 😅

I agree 100% w you. We PLANNED for our baby around moving and new jobs and finishing school. Our quality of life/health would have been so bad if it was any sooner. Ppl love to act like life is just out of their control and crazy all the time but that's just not been my experience at all. Planning a baby w/ at least some stability is the bare minimum you can do for a child😭

That’s totally fair. I tell people the same thing as she does, but what I personally mean is… motherhood comes as a shock of unimaginable responsibility regardless of what time you have kids. It feels overwhelming and wild and beautiful. But without all the challenges that having kids brings, I would never mature to the point of being able to handle it!! I hope this makes sense lol
