@dr.amybkillen: Taking testosterone therapy? 🤔 Although benefits can start within a month, they often take 3-6 months to fully manifest. Similarly, side effects (ex: acne, body/face hair growth, scalp hair loss) often take 3+ months to begin. 😏 This is why we wait AT LEAST 3 months before we increase your testosterone dose. And, if you're cutting back or stopping testosterone, know that it may be another 3-6 months for side effects to resolve. 😡 Have you had side effects on T? ❓❓
I am 52 and I am on compound testosterone cream 4 mg/4 clicks every other day. I have been on about 15 weeks started out twice a week then in December went to every other day and haven’t seen any difference. How long should I give the cream before looking for alternatives

Compounded testosterone seems to have helped me with confidence, mainly. She is right, needs about 3 month's to kick in.

What if you’ve been on testosterone for 2.5 years and levels have always remained the same (with no symptoms/side effects). Could you still develop side effects 2.5,3, 4 years later??

A very small dose caused me to grow hair lower than the my hairline on my forehead and caused some thinning in my hair line. So frustrating

This is so important! 👏 Pharmacist here and menopause specialist. Whenever I post about FDA approved transdermal products, there are so many women that comment about constantly adjusting their injections and chasing lab values.

I was prescribed 10mg right off the bat, I was also told my my pharmacist that you should include 50mg of zinc so you don’t get copper build up in the brain causing side effects like depression and anxiety

Unfortunately she needs to also talk about the other effects such as irritation, anxiety etc Besides the talking points of hair 💯It takes a high level of testosterone for better than 3 months for the DHT Levels to rise and start causing hair. Problems
