Wow when I heard that first story I immediately thought " Wow you're the first monster in law I heard about that gotten the shortest time ever to be considered to go no contact with or at least not saying the baby for a good number of weeks" and "Wow you basically just fast passed yourself into never seeing the baby again nah nevermind you just speedran that crap."

The only advice I ever give expectant mothers is to NEVER share your baby names ahead of time. Everyone has opinions of your name choice and these people usually are parents and have already named their own babies.

For that MIL thay wanted to be called Mama-- as a babby/toddler I ended up first calling my Grandma Mama and she had to work with me to get me to call her Mimi instead because she knew its wasn't right. That MIL knew what she was trying to do.
