The standards that are in our minds are that success is from money, success is from property, success is from business, success is from fame, success is from power. These are the standards that the richer the more successful, the more famous the more successful, the one who reaches the government is successful, the one who has established a big business is successful, the one who has built a lot of property is successful. But the reality is that success is not from wealth, success is not from fame, success is not from power and strength and government. Rather, success is from faith, success is from righteous deeds, success is from following the truth, success is from the pleasure of Allah. Consider: If success were from wealth, Qarun would have been very successful, if success were from government, Pharaoh would have been very successful. But they failed, and Abu Dharr Ghaffari was successful even though he had nothing. This is the real success. When this is in mind, life changes, morning and evening change, the color of running changes. We are travelers, this world is not our home but the shade of a tree where we have to rest for a while. Keep protecting your faith from the glitter of the world, keep reminding yourself again and again that success does not come from wealth, not from fame, not from power, but from faith, from righteous deeds, from the advice of the truth, from the pleasure of Allah.
