@soonafter.au: Do cooling blankets actually work? Here’s our honest feedback🧊 We first saw them at Canton Fair in China. First impression: WOW, genuinely icy to touch. Perfect for Aussie summer... or so we thought. The reality is, If you’re not a hot sleeper, it can be uncomfortably cold for most regular summer nights. And if you ARE a hot sleeper (we asked our friends to test), it works brilliantly... for a bit. Then it traps heat. Why? It’s in 90% nylon + 10% elastane = plastic. Ultra-fine fibres cool you initially, but can’t breathe or release heat like Tencel, bamboo and linen do over time. Cool tech? Absolutely.
