I think if the mom was a stay home mom before divorce, I think paying her alimony for 2 months while she gets a job is fair. We have to understand MOMS give up everything to stay home because at that point in their marriage DIVORCE was not in mind. I don’t believe in sustaining her life but a 1-2 months of alimony to get her started is fair. After that both parties are responsible for the kids expenses.

when I got divorced the judge gave me child support based on salary inequality. I followed up with a motion to end child support. we agreed on 50/50 everything for our child. it was my job to care for my child just as much as my ex.
