@abbeyyung: The Abbey Yung Method Product Comparison Guide Series Part 2: Strengthening Shampoos. These can either be used in place of or in addition to clarifying shampoos. Or skipped entirely! If you prefer clear, residue-free and/or deeper cleaning shampoos- check out part 1 for recs that will work even better for you. And again, keep in mind: just because I recommend a product for a certain scalp or hair type doesn’t mean that you can’t use it if your scalp/hair type is different. This isn’t meant to be a guide of what you can or can’t use, but instead a guide to help you to figure out which products might be worth purchasing to give you the best possible results. So continue to use what’s working well for you always, but if you’re stuck deciding… hopefully this helps xx #abbeyyungmethod #shampoo

What about if you have dry ends, prone to breakage, but roots get oily quick? I’ve been using the dove intensive repair but I feel like it doesn’t cleanse enough to get me longer between washes

Why don’t you sell your routine in a quiz what people could do? People trust you you’d be a millionaire x10😂

Licensed cosmetologist here — just a friendly heads up for anyone following this method: hair care is not one size fits all. Everyone has different porosity, density, texture, scalp conditions, chemical history, and environment, so a product that works amazing for one person can cause dryness, buildup, or damage for someone else. Clarifying shampoo should only be used occasionally (usually once a month or as needed), not regularly, because it strips buildup and natural oils. Using it too often can seriously dry out your hair and scalp. Also worth noting: some of these videos are paid partnerships, so these are sponsored product recommendations — not personalized hair science. This isn’t hate at all — just important education. Viral routines don’t replace individualized, science-based hair care. If your hair isn’t loving these products, it doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong — it means your hair needs something different 💛

I’ve noticed a lot of your recommendations have protein, is there a way to prevent protein overload or is there not enough in the products for that to be an issue?

It's not the shampoo that I'm interested in. It's the conditioner. I have thin hair that sheds a lot besides that, it's very healthy. All conditioners make my hair heavy and greasy. Even though I only use it on my ends.

I’ve been following the method and it’s great, but nothing seems to help with my frizz😭 hair is kind of soft but not shiny, only frizzy ,unless I straighten it. Any recommendations please? 🙏

As someone with fine hair, the dove descriptions were spot on. I purchased the bond strength shampoo first and just found it too heavy, weighing down some of my waves and making me feel greasy sooner. I followed up with the intensive repair and it’s just right.

What can you recommend for thin, fine, and wavy hair? I would love for my hair to look smooth for once. I always feel like my hair looks frizzy. 😭

Is anyone else struggling to fine the Garnier shampoo right now? Is it being discontinued or just sold out everywhere because it’s becoming really popular?
