All rubber degrades over time... But rubbing it with a brush/ scouring pad rips/ cuts it even more leaving all this "dirt" if you were to keep doing this over time the window ill blow and you'll have moisture/ condensation between the double glazing = a professional needed to replace the seals of the double glazing or new double glazing to be fitted 💸 👍
