I love 2x2 ribbing! I’m currently making the hill 60 beanie. I also made the Musselburgh hat just a few months into knitting. Other then the cast on it isn’t too bad.

I highly recommend the Manhattan Hat Bulky pattern by Tori Yu! It’s 1x1 rib but with bulky weight knit on 5.5mm so it works up extremely quickly. Tori Yu also has other weight versions for the pattern if you want more of a challenge
