I 100 percent agree with ur take because attractive people who are insecure when they see an ugly person who is content with themselves it pisses them off they are like how can this 2/10 be so at peace with their situation while I'm a 9/10 and I struggle everyday.

this is so interesting to me. I've always found average looking people more confident as they should be. humans are more than their looks. i say this as someone who grew up fully covered in Islamic attire and am now considered attractive. i miss people being nicer to be when i was the token Muslim friend and not a threat.

I'm insecure because I notice how disproportionately looks are valued in our society. I worry that my appearance is why some people want me around. I may be a little too conscious about it, because I had a really awkward phase in my teens until I was around 23 or so. I wasn't always "the beauty standard", so I have personal experience with how people treat you differently. It's quite frankly life changing. Before I was weird, now I am cool and quirky. I could ramble on but it's hardly of use.

I wonder the same thing too. Like how are they so miserable and insecure when they have all the physical attributes I want. Jealousy for people who have what I don’t have is a big challenge in life for me.

I can say that as a person who has a lot of self esteem issues but yet has been told by many people growing up that I’m pretty and conventionally attractive, that parts of what you’re saying is correct. I’m not going out of my way to hate on anyone but I struggle so much with my self worth especially because I’ve been single for most of my life so I do question what’s wrong with me and what must I be doing wrong. So yes it’s a bit relatable - some days I do feel pretty but then being so lonely I do place my worth into being chosen by someone. And again I want to make clear I’m reflecting any negativity towards me, I don’t call others ugly or think negatively of them. I’m self critical to only myself.

Honestly, it's projection, but it will resonate well w your base. I think the truth is that they see u as not even trying. Like you've just given up. I don't think they see u as confident, but as some1 who doesn't even care enough to try & fix it.
