The gastroparesis concerns me. I also haven’t heard much about the side effects (the bad ones) of gLp1. I’m curious.

Dysautonomia International is wanting to do research on how GLP1 helps dysautonomia such as POTS!

I have hEDS, Dysautonomia, CFS& MCAS (all post long covid) as well as PCOS &insulin resistance. GLP1 did not help me in any way, if anything I felt worse on GLP1! it worsened my CFS and dysautonomia severely to a point of not being able to function or exert myself in the slightest bit. I also didn’t lost weight on it but lost appetite and couldn’t eat anything. Glad it works for many people but it unfortunately won’t work for everyone.

A GLP has definitely helped reduce my MCAS symptoms.

Nope. I’ve been on one for 2 years and my postnasal drip and allergies are still just as bad. Still take 80mg of famotidine and 20 mg cetirizine a day.

I cant speak abt mcas but the thing I miss most abt taking a GLP1 (aside from the weight loss) is the way it seemed to relieve all the inflammation. Im always saying that nobody talks abt that enough & just figured that maybe I was the only person who felt like it really alleviated the inflammation in my body.

I’ve struggled with long COVID for years. Immediate and significant difference since starting a GLP-1. I’ve been on it for about a year, and it gave me my life back.

Quite a few people in MCAS groups with anecdotal evidence so we’ll see what future studies show! I feel like we need more info on testing for MCAS first since current tests are somewhat inconclusive.

I just recently got diagnosed with SMA syndrome and i have MCAS also. I have noticed that when I’m off my GLP1 that both of those things get significantly worse could there be a correlation between the GLP1 and that?

I was hoping to get on one to help with weight loss and also inflammation due to ulcerative colitis - but my insurance doesn’t cover it for me because I don’t have diabetes 🤷🏻♀️

How do you get taken seriously by an allergist for MCAS? My experience is they don’t believe in it until MCAS crisis and the system collapses.
